Bond 7 has announced a partnership with Ugandan rapper Feffe Bussi ahead of his upcoming concert celebrating 10 years in the Luga Flow music industry.
The concert, dubbed Hip Hop Kuntiko, is scheduled to take place on May 16 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala and is expected to bring together fans of Ugandan hip hop and Luga Flow music.
Organisers say the event will celebrate Feffe Bussi’s contribution to the growth of the genre, which has evolved into one of Uganda’s most influential urban music movements.
Speaking during the announcement on Thursday, Roy Tumwizere, the Mainstream Spirits Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the partnership aligns with Bond 7’s campaign aimed at celebrating identity, creativity and youth culture.
“Luga Flow music is a bond that unites people with shared interests in expression, creativity and love for music,” Tumwizere said.
“Under our current campaign, ‘Our Bond, Our Drink, Our Flow,’ Bond 7 is celebrating such bonds that define its consumers’ identity and reflect their aspirations,” he added.
Tumwizere described Feffe Bussi as an artist whose journey and influence reflect the brand’s values.
“Feffe Bussi is a reflection of what we stand for as a brand. His musical and freestyle mastery is a powerful cultural expression that represents the bold and authentic identity of the street-smart youth today,” he said.
Feffe Bussi, born Frank Mukiiza, is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in Uganda’s Luga Flow movement, known for blending Luganda lyricism with hip hop influences.
The rapper gained prominence through songs such as Who is Who and more recently Nzalina, which has received significant airplay across local media platforms.
Addressing the media, Feffe Bussi thanked fans and partners for supporting his music journey over the past decade.
“We are raising the Luga Flow flag higher than ever before,” Feffe Bussi said.
“Hip Hop Kuntiko is going to be one of the biggest music concerts this year and promises a memorable experience, now made bigger and better with support from the Luga Flow drink, Bond 7,” he added.
The concert is expected to feature performances celebrating Ugandan hip hop culture and homegrown talent, with organisers describing it as part of wider efforts to grow and commercialise the Luga Flow industry.
